Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 19, 2026

1. Introduction

At Komandio Labs LLC, we take your privacy seriously - especially because our software interfaces directly with your microphone and local hardware. This policy outlines how we handle data.

2. Local Processing & Voice Data

By default, Komandio is designed to process Voice Activity Detection (VAD) entirely locally on your machine. We do not continuously record or upload your background room audio.

We use Vosk and Whisper for local Speech-to-Text (STT). No voice audio samples are sent to our servers; only the transcribed text results are securely transmitted when using cloud-based intent recognition features.

In the future, if an optional online STT paid service is introduced, audio samples will be sent securely to our services exclusively for processing. These samples will not be stored, sold, shared, or used for any purpose other than processing with the specific service provider (e.g., Google, ElevenLabs, etc.).

3. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email address (for Beta waitlist and account management).
  • Usage Telemetry: Opt-in anonymous crash reports and performance metrics to help us stabilize the Beta software.

4. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

If you choose to use the BYOK tier, your API keys are encrypted locally using OS-level security (e.g., DPAPI on Windows). We never transmit your personal API keys to our servers.

5. Contact Us

If you have concerns about your data, contact our privacy team at [email protected].
